One of our esteemed customers ‘Bouygues Travaux Publics Région France’ has been awarded with the renovation project of the locks in Mericourt and is using the MPS equipment as dedicated tool for the job.

The locks of Méricourt are located in the Seine river at approximate 60km from Paris, and operated by VNF ‘Voies Navigables de France’. There are two locks in operation that allow passage of over 10.000 vessels per year. In order to increase the capacity and ensure the continues operation for the locks a large investment will be done in renovation of both locks and extension of lock nr1 from 165 to 180m.

MPS has provided a series of modular pontoons that are equipped with spud legs and/or winches for mooring. The pontoons are being used as crane-barge and transport pontoons for the building materials.
