On behalf of Slovenian port operator Luka Koper the consortium comprising companies Kolektor Koling, Adriaing and Grafist launched works on the construction of a pier extension of 98.5 metres in the Port of Koper what will bring the quay to a length of 695 metres.

MPS supplied to the consortium a modular container pontoon of 36.58 x 19.51 x 2.44 metres in compliance with certification of Bureau Veritas – Coastal Area.  To hold accurate position the barge is foreseen of 4 spud-legs and 4 point-mooring system.

On the MPS modular pontoon is a Liebherr LR 1280 crawler crane weighting approx. 260 tons to install the 770 steel piles, each 65 metres long where whole construction will rest

The quayside is expected to be completed until March 2021. The second part of the project comprises the construction of 24.830 square metres of container storage area, to be completed in 2022.
