To the Sassevaart consortium, MPS has delivered another modular pontoon configuration of 36 x 22 m equipped with 4 point mooring system.

This time the MPS modular pontoon will be deployed for the Nieuwe Sluis Terneuzen project to remove the combi wall between the outer head and the lock chamber.

Sassevaart has just completed the removal of the sheet piles, in continuation they remove the tubular piles.

This operation is performed with a mechanical diamond saw. The special saw hangs in a frame that is attached to one of the tubular piles. The saw then reaches under water to cut the adjacent tubular pile under water along the bottom. Complete operation performed from the modular MPS pontoon once the tubular pile comes loose, they are lifted out with the installed crane.
