Testweight for shiplift – Spain

Our equipment is used for many applications, including the most unusual applications. In July 2019 MPS supplied MB92, a custom designed modular pontoon solution, in Barcelona. The purpose was to create a test weight for their newly installed shiplift with a lifting capacity of 4.800 ton.

A modular pontoon dimensioned 30.48 x 14.63 x 2.44m consisting 2 layers was designed of our container pontoons. During trails both layers were filled with ballast water to generate an test weight of approx. 1600 metric tons.
